NT Labs Permanganate Dip - Treatment for Fish Lice, Leeches, Parasites, and Ulcers

When to Use: The NT Labs Permanganate Dip is suitable for treating fish lice, leeches, parasites, and ulcers in pond fish. Use it when fish exhibit visible external parasites or signs of parasitic infection such as flicking, rubbing, or gasping. It can be employed as a whole pond treatment for parasitic infections like Costia, Trichodina, Chilodonella, etc., or as a dip treatment in a separate volume of water for fish lice, leeches, and ulcer cleaning.

How to Use:

  1. Test Water Quality: Use NT Labs Test Kits to assess water quality.
  2. Whole Pond Treatment:
    • Mix the appropriate dosage in a clean bucket of pond water.
    • Pour evenly over the pond surface.
    • Switch off UV filtration until the pink color disappears.
    • Aerate the pond well during treatment.
    • After 7 days, perform a partial water change before using a different medication.
  3. Dip Treatment for Fish:
    • Add the appropriate dosage to a bucket of clean pond water.
    • Gently submerge fish.
    • Provide additional aeration during the dip.
    • Leave fish in the dip for no more than 30 minutes.
    • If a repeat dose is needed, check the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Tool.
  4. Observation and Action:
    • Treat when you can observe fish and take necessary action in case of adverse reactions.

Warnings:

  • Do not use with orfe, rudd, tench, or sturgeon/sterlet.
  • Avoid use if water temperature exceeds 22°C.
  • Do not use in hot, humid, thundery weather.
  • Do not leave fish unattended during dip treatments.
  • Limit dip treatment duration to a maximum of 30 minutes.
  • Do not mix medications.

  • For item(s) that fit a 1kg Mail pack and do not contain liquids, the shipping cost is £5.50 + VAT.
  • Bulky items such as drum or bead filters require pallet shipping, starting from £45.00 + VAT.
  • Non-bulky orders to mainland UK over £1000 Excluding VAT will be shipped for free, up to a value of £55.00.
  • Orders going to remote places such as the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland may have different rates (please contact us for details).
  • To ensure your privacy, all orders will be shipped with unbranded packaging, without any marketing material.
